2019 Facilitators
Stephanie Cimmet, LCPC, ATR-BC has been a practicing Art Therapist for 18 years. By combining creative arts with psychotherapy, she offers her clients a variety of non-traditional modalities as gateways to exploring both their struggles and strengths. Stephanie was trained at Wheaton College and Lesley University and maintains a Maine state license as a Clinical Professional Counselor. She received her National Registration in Art Therapy in 2005 and Board Certification in 2011. Stephanie owns Many Moons Psychotherapy Services, Inc. a private practice in Freeport, Maine. At Many Moons, Stephanie and her clinical staff provide arts-based psychotherapy services to individuals, families and groups. She is the co-creator of the Annual Self-Compassion Symposium.
Lisa Cohn, LPC-C has a Master's degree in Art Therapy from Albertus Magnus College. She loves to share her passion for creative expression and believes wholeheartedly in the therapeutic value of the arts to promote self-discovery, improve self-esteem, and promote positive life changes. Lisa teaches classes for the MaineHealth Journey to health program, facilitates various workshops and groups, runs the free community Art Hive at Waterfall Arts in Belfast, and is a Certified SoulCollage® Facilitator.
Jennifer Greiner, LCPC, ATR is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and a Registered Art Therapist. She has a private practice in Biddeford, Maine and is the owner of Green Thinking. She brings to her practice extensive training in many expressive modalities and a history of working with diverse populations. She presents classes & workshops for the community and trainings on Essential Oils. In her practice, she incorporates essential oils into her therapeutic work.
Michelle M. Joubert, LCPC, LMHC, BC-DMT received her graduate degree in Dance/Movement Therapy and Mental Health Counseling from Antioch University New England in 2006. She is currently practicing movement therapy in Saco, ME in her private practice part time. Michelle works with children, adolescents, and young adults to aid them in healing through building awareness of the whole self. Michelle is an adjunct professor in
Lesley University's Clinical Mental Health Counseling: Dance/Movement Therapy Program, aiding students in their learning journey. She also works full time at Spurwink Services in quality improvement for their behavioral health services.
Melissa L Kelly, LCPC, ATR holds an MS in Art Therapy and Counseling from the College of New Rochelle, NY. She is a Registered Art Therapist and has a private practice in Belfast, Maine where she works with people of all ages with a focus on improving self-awareness and problem-solving skills through the creative process. She facilitates groups for pre-teen and teenage girls as well as workshops for Title 1 programs, and supporting parent and child educational partnerships.
Bodhi Simpson, LCPC, ATR is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in the state of Maine and a Registered Art Therapist. Bodhi is a Past President of the Maine Mental Health Counselors Association and is a student at Wisdom University working toward a PhD in Wisdom Studies. Bodhi has an art therapy practice in Waterville, Maine called Conscious Art Therapy, is the co-founder of Vast Horizons Center for Personal Growth in Brunswick, Maine, and co-owner of Wisdom Journeys, LLC. Bodhi is a co-creator of The Self-Compassion Symposium held annually in Freeport, Maine. She provides individual and group sessions, workshops, trainings, and retreats locally, nationally, and internationally that incorporate creative expression and work with imagination, intuition and metaphor.
Melissa Violette, MT-BC is a Board Certified Neurologic Music Therapist at Birch Bay Retirement Village and Mount Desert Island Hospital in Bar Harbor, Maine. She received her Music Therapy degree from Anna Maria College in Paxton, Massachusetts, in 1992 and moved to Maine in 2015. She has 27 years of music therapy experience and has spent her career working in adult mental health with both civil and forensic populations, geriatrics and dementia, developmental disabilities, in addition to working with homeless veterans in the projects of Tallahassee, Florida. Melissa is currently the director of the only American Music Therapy Association National Roster Music Therapy Internship site in Maine.
Elizabeth Walker, LCPC-C received her Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a concentration in Expressive Art Therapy from Goddard College in Vermont. She sees a light and potential within everyone, and believes that expressive art modalities create alternative and important ways of connecting in any relationship. From early trips to the symphony and art museums, to time spent at flea markets and fabric shops, Elizabeth has been surrounded by Expressive Art for as long as she can remember. Elizabeth finds that the metaphors in collage and textile art, and the idea of “mending beautifully”, fit her theoretical orientation and her lived experience.
Rachel Wells, LCPC-C, MT-BC is a Board Certified Music Therapist, Licensed Conditional Clinical Mental Health Counselor, and owner of Headwaters Wellness in Kennebunk, Maine. She works with all ages and specializes in mental health issues using music and expressive arts therapy. Rachel is currently the only clinician to provide Music Therapy Assisted Childbirth in the state of Maine. She graduated in 2010 with dual masters degrees in Music Therapy and Clinical Community Counseling from Appalachian State University.
